Precision punched parts 0.2 - 3 mm

High-precision stamping technology for function-critical components
Precision stamped parts
Where tolerances define functions and edges determine assembly, contact or service life, standard punching technology is not enough. Precision stamped parts 0.2 - 3 mm are designed for close dimensional accuracy, controlled cutting edges and process-stable series. Karl Naumann GmbH manufactures these components with precision-oriented tool design and documented test characteristics - for applications where deviations mean measurable risks.

Narrow tolerance contour parts for fitting and reference functions

This variant is designed for positionally accurate reference features, e.g. fitting holes, reference edges or defined stop contours. The technical focus is on a stable feature position over series runs, because even minor position deviations can cause assembly errors or functional misalignment. At Karl Naumann GmbH, we typically manufacture such parts for assemblies in which positioning logic and interchangeability have priority.

Technical parameters - Narrow tolerance contour parts
ParameterTypical industrial characteristics
Material groupsStainless steel, steel, Al alloys, Cu alloys (adapted to function)
Thickness range0.2 - 3.0 mm
Primary featuresPosition dimensions, hole position, reference edges
Tolerance levelnarrow, feature-related per drawing
Edge requirementFunctionally controlled (burr position/deburring as required)
Test strategyOptical 2D measurement, gauges, feature-based SPC

Micro-perforated precision parts (high hole pattern density)

In micro-perforated parts, the hole diameter, hole spacing and web widths determine the function, e.g. as a sieve, throttle, mixing or acoustic element. The difference to simple perforated sheets lies in the tolerance-critical hole pattern position and the uniform hole quality across the entire component. Karl Naumann GmbH relies here on tool and test-technically secured hole pattern processes.

Technical parameters - Microperforation
ParameterTypical industrial characteristics
Thickness range0.2 - 1.5 mm (depending on hole pattern)
Critical variablesHole Ø, pitch, web width, open area
Edge statusLow burr or defined burr side (depending on function)
Geometric stabilityLow distortion with high perforation rate
Measurement conceptHole pattern inspection (2D), random sampling/inline depending on series
ApplicationsFilter/choke plates, acoustic modules, protective and strainer inserts

Precision stamped and bent parts with calibration levels

This variant combines precise punching with defined bending operations and subsequent calibration in order to keep angles, leg heights and reference positions stable. The difference to general bent parts lies in the feature-oriented shape control: the bending geometry is part of a tolerance chain and is secured accordingly. At Karl Naumann GmbH, such parts are typically used for brackets, contact carriers and assembly frames.

Technical parameters - Precision stamped and bent parts
ParameterTypical industrial characteristics
Thickness range0,4 - 3,0 mm
Critical featuresAngles, reference positions, hole pattern in 3D
Process validationCalibration/mold alignment in tool stages
Material topicsSpringback, crack risk, directional dependency
Test characteristics3D reference measurement, gauges, functional test
UseMounting brackets, contact mounts, protective/frame parts

Embossing and flatness-critical functional parts

It is not only the contour that is decisive here, but also the local change in geometry (embossing) and/or the defined flatness of the functional surface. Typical examples are positioning embossings, stop points or contacting supports where the height and flatness determine the assembly or contact function. Such parts are used at Karl Naumann GmbH when molded elements are used directly as a functional reference.

Technical parameters - embossing/flatness
ParameterTypical industrial characteristics
Thickness range0.2 - 2.5 mm
Functional featuresEmbossing height/position, flatness, contact surfaces
Litigation risksLocal hardening, springback, distortion
Tool requirementPrecise punch/die guidance, defined hold-down forces
Quality assuranceHeight measurement, flatness check, optical position check
ApplicationsStop/reference parts, contact pads, positioning modules

Material and surface-critical precision parts

This variant is designed for defined surface conditions or material-related properties, such as friction pairings, corrosion environments or electrical contact surfaces. The technical focus is on reproducible surface integrity, because edge zones, microcracks or coating windows influence the function. Karl Naumann GmbH takes the process-related surface stresses into account as early as the tool and process design stage.

Technical parameters - surface/material integrity
ParameterTypical industrial characteristics
Thickness range0.2 - 3.0 mm
Surface targetDefined roughness/structure (function-dependent)
Edge zone requirementMinimized notch effect, controlled edges
AftercarePassivation/pickling/coating depending on specification
